Señorita Elizondo |
ABOUT ME:
¡Hola clase! Me llamo la Señorita Elizondo and I am very excited to be your Spanish teacher this semester. As your child's teacher this semester, I hope to not only teach students the Spanish language skills they need to graduate and attend an accredited four-year college, but also the skills they need to think globally in our globalized and multicultural world. I graduated from California State University of Fullerton with a B.A. in Spanish Linguistics, received my A.A. in Liberal Studies and Journalism from Fullerton College and obtained my Single Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Fullerton in Spring of 2016. I have had articles published in the Modern Languages & Literature Student Journal Babelia at CSUF as well as presented my dissertation on "Las Expresiones Idiomáticas" in the Seventh Annual Conference Literature, Culture and Languages in 2013. As a heritage speaker, Spanish has been a part of not only my academics and career, but also, my life. Being a Mexican-American, I enjoy sharing my language and culture with students on a daily basis. I enjoy learning languages and I am in the process of learning French- bonjour! I plan to share the love I have for languages with my students this semester and I look forward to the all the fun we will have. On a more personal note; a few interesting things about me is I am a Disney fanatic ( I could go every day!), I love Frida Kahlo, I love reading (Gabriel Garcia Marquez is my favorite author), my favorite color is red, I love music and I love to salsa dance! |
