Participation and Attendance:
Please make sure to arrive early and on time to class and please make sure to bring all course materials and homework with you to class. Participation counts towards a huge portion of your grade seeing as how in order to fully learn a new language there must be communication between teachers and peers. Attendance also counts towards your final grade. |
Absences:
Attendance is very important as it counts as a portion of your grade. However, if you are absent, please refer to the calendar tab to keep yourself up to date upon returning to class.
Missing Assignments and Late Work:
If you have an excused absence you will be able to turn in your homework for credit. However, if you come to class without your assignments you may turn them in next class session for half points. An excused absence will allow you to schedule any make up exams and quizzes but please make arrangements with me.
Extra Credit:
Extra Credit opportunities will present themselves throughout the year. The maximum points you can receive in extra credit is 20 points, cannot exceed. If you go to an event, read a piece of literature or find something extra credit worthy that pertains to what we are currently learning in class you may ask for my approval first and provide a written page paper with details of the event, what you learned and how it relates to class.
Online Discussions:
We will have some online assignments and discussions throughout the school year. It is your job to make sure you are aware of the times pertaining to the discussions as there is a time slot (please reference el calendario). Also, make sure to be respectful of everyones opinions. Here's a little video that will help guide you and give you some tips on online discussions:
