What is Spanish?
Also known as the Romance language of most of Spain, Central and South America, Spanish is one of the most common languages spoken in today’s society. The Spanish language opens many doors to music, literature, art, traditions and cultures. Spanish has so much history involved that it would be hard to fit everything in on this site so I hope to be able to explain the language and its importance in todays society throughout the school year. The Spanish language is rich in culture and traditions and we will go through most of them such as Day of the Dead, posadas, Christmas celebrations, familial traditions that we can all relate to. We will examine this language through video projects, presentations, papers and art projects so that everyone can showcase their projects but also learn and find a new appreciation for the Spanish language.
Why should you learn Spanish?There are so many different and valuable reasons to learn Spanish. I will share with you my personal reasons on why it’s extremely beneficial learning another language.
